Microsoft has further enhanced the Xbox 360 Family Settings with the incorporation of the new Family Timer feature. Now parents will be able to limit the amount of time their children spend in the gaming console. This limitation can be done on a daily, and weekly basis.

Parents will be able to set permissions so that the Xbox 360 could be enjoyed in a user-appropriate environment. The permissions would include what games and DVD movies to allow plus the ability to establish Xbox LIVE membership as well. However, the survey report also reveals that almost 60 per cent of parents are ready to welcome such tools.

The main aim of this new feature is to allow parents to select the appropriate content choices for their children. This will really help reach relevant resources in families and communities at large.
