The XBOX 360  has now crossed the 10 million console sales which is a record for any console sales any where in the world!The latest figures have come in at the end of march with the NPD Group stating that the Wii had sold 8.8 million units in the U.S. and the PS3, 4.1 million.

Microsoft is calling the shots on this one as the mother of all inventions with previous gaming standards being the touch stone of success.  Aaron Greenberg, director of product management at Xbox 360 and Xbox Live has said that  according to previous standards the first console which would touch 10 million sales  would be the industry leader and the Xbox360 has proved just that . Microsoft is also offering a live service of  global membership of its Xbox and this member ship has now touched  12 million members which is a record in itself.  Microsoft’s shares values also rose exponentially after sales of the gaming console started with an increase of 15 cents to close at $29.93.
