X Box 360 prices slashed

Hi guys, this is the best news one has heard for the gaming community. Microsoft has dropped the prices of XBox 360. It will now be available for a price of $ 299 as against $ 349 earlier. Microsoft has cleverly timed the price cut just in time to coincide with the slew of new game titles which are going to be released shortly.
One would have expected Sony to react in a similar manner. But Sony has issued an announcement that it will not be cutting down the price of its PS 3. May be Sony feels they have already consolidated in the gaming market. Only time will tell whose move has been wiser.
As things stand the major advantage Sony has is of the Blu-Ray. In the days ahead should Blu-Ray become the industry standard for video then certainly Sony has the edge. The HD DVD format has almost been given a quiet burial. Sony seems to be winning this war queitly but certainly.
